Glassworks visits Japan

Last week Martin Contel, Head of 3D from our Barcelona office, had the privilege of visiting some of Japan's most important animation and digital effects production companies.

Glassworks is always willing to give an extra twist to its services as recently shown with the creation of the Barcelona Special Projects division. This new step towards this direction proofs our commitment to keep our company constantly evolving. The connection with the Japanese market will allow us to bring to Europe a different and exciting approach to our clients needs and also export Glassworks well known quality to Asia.

We would like to express our gratitude to:

  • Eiji Mizutani (Producer) and Ryuji Mitsumoto (General Manager) from Production I.G, the studio responsible among others of the "Ghost in the Shell" series and the famous animation sequence on Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill".
  • Masatoshi Kobayashi (Producer) from Digital Media Lab, well known in Japan for their "N.Y. Salad" series.
  • Kenichiro Tomiyasu (CEO) from INEI Inc., an incredible talented Concept Artist and Matte Painter with long experience in the Film, TV and Game industries.
  • Ikuo Nishii (Technical Supervisor), Yui Tanaka (International Liaison) and Asuka Yotsumoto (Production Manager) from ROBOT Communications, which offers a wide array of production services and winners of an Oscar Acady Award in the Short Film (Animated) category in 2009.
